Health and Safety
You are our top priority, and your health and safety is our utmost concern. We are diligently following standardized measures to help everyone stay healthy while ensuring you have a safe and rewarding conference experience. For updates and venue-specific safety procedures, please check back frequently.
Please keep in mind that we are engaging with the conference venue, other hotels, and safety professionals to implement health-and-safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the event.
We will communicate any possible changes to the onsite health and safety measures and requirements to the participants prior to the start date.
Meanwhile, keep in mind that the weather forecast for Zanzibar in June-August will be hot, with temperatures expected to be at highs of 25°C (77°F) and lows of 23°C (73.4°F). Our advice is to pack ideal footwear and lightweight, loose fitting clothes in natural fabrics such as linen, silk, bamboo and cotton that will keep you cool.
To reduce the risk of possible complications, please carry your personal necessities such as prescribed medications. If you have any special requests regarding your health and well-being during the convening, do not hesitate to inform the organizing team.
Please note that all delegates and relevant stakeholders are not at risk of the Marburg virus as it was detected in March some 1500km from Zanzibar and the mainland transit destination of Dar es Salaam. The United Republic of Tanzania’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has confirmed that the virus has been contained, and the country is considered safe for travelers.
